Mountains have a way of making space for what matters.

We give Orthodox Jewish teens an unforgettable four-day adventure — challenging trails, breathtaking views, and late-night laughs by the fire — where they push their limits, deepen their connection to Hashem, and grow together.

No counselors phoning it in. No watered-down "outdoor experience." Just guides who've spent years in Torah education and on backcountry trails, taking small groups across the Slide Mountain wilderness for the kind of trip that quietly changes a kid.

Meet Our Guides

Two founders.
Ten thousand miles of trail between them.

Teva Trails was started by two friends who spent years guiding hikes together and teaching teens during the school year. Every trip is led personally — not by hired counselors, not by interns. By the people whose name is on the door.

Ezra Kolsky

Co-Founder · Head Guide

Ezra's been guiding hikes for over a decade. His humble hiking roots are in the Catskills, but he's led trips through northern and southern Israel, the Poconos, the Adirondacks, the Appalachian Trail, Puerto Rico rainforests, Utah's national parks, Spanish Fork, and Colorado's Rockies.

Middle school science teacher at Yeshiva Darchei Torah; substitute Rebbe; staff for HSL Sports, a growing Jewish sports league.
Certified in adult and pediatric First Aid / CPR / AED.

Dovid Tzvi Daskal

Co-Founder · Guide

Dovid Tzvi has led hikes alongside Ezra for years and has been personally guiding for over three. He knows the Catskills, the Poconos, and the Appalachian Trail well enough to read the weather off a ridge.
