Catskills · Summer 2026

Four days
off the grid.
A lifetime
of memory.

Teva Trails takes Orthodox Jewish teens deep into the Catskills wilderness — daily minyanim, Torah learning, and the kind of friendships you can only forge climbing a mountain together.

Mountains have a way of making space for what matters.

We give Orthodox Jewish teens an unforgettable four-day adventure — challenging trails, breathtaking views, and late-night laughs by the fire — where they push their limits, deepen their connection to Hashem, and grow together.

No counselors phoning it in. No watered-down "outdoor experience." Just guides who've spent years in Torah education and on backcountry trails, taking small groups across the Slide Mountain wilderness for the kind of trip that quietly changes a kid.

"Reset your circadian rhythm.
Sleep under the stars."

Six things you won't find at a regular camp.

Every Teva Trails trip is built around the same six pillars — the difference between a hike and a journey.

01 / 06

Daily Minyanim

Daven like never before. There's something about saying Shacharis on a mountain ridge as the sun rises over the Catskills that you don't forget.

02 / 06

Torah Learning

Daily learning groups led by guides with years of experience in Torah education — meaningful, not performative.

03 / 06

Primitive Camping

Nights under the stars, fires in the backcountry, and the kind of sleep you only get when the only sound is wind in the trees.

04 / 06

Climb Mountains

Traverse diverse terrain backpacking across the Slide Mountain wilderness — peaks, streams, hollows, and ridgelines.

05 / 06

Epic Views

Summit the most majestic peaks the Catskills have to offer. Three states visible on a clear day. Some sights demand earning.

06 / 06

Disconnect

Escape the binds of modern technology. Build friendships that survive the trip home. Make memories that don't fit on a screen.

Two founders.
Ten thousand miles of trail between them.

Teva Trails was started by two friends who spent years guiding hikes together and teaching teens during the school year. Every trip is led personally — not by hired counselors, not by interns. By the people whose name is on the door.
